Fact-Checking Standards
Accuracy is the foundation of our journalism. These standards sit alongside the Editorial Policy.
Before publication, Repute Media Group strives to:
- Verify information through reliable and credible sources.
- Cross-check facts using multiple independent sources whenever possible.
- Distinguish clearly between verified information, analysis, and opinion.
- Correct factual inaccuracies promptly when identified.
Anonymous sources are used only when necessary and when their credibility has been carefully assessed.
Corrections
When errors occur, we correct factual mistakes promptly, clearly indicate significant corrections or updates, preserve transparency without concealing previous inaccuracies, and review editorial processes to reduce future errors.
AI and verification
AI-assisted tools may support research and workflow, but AI-generated material will never replace editorial judgment or fact-checking. Editorial staff remain responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all published content.
